Is LegalMotion a fitness studio, animation studio or creative agency?
No. LegalMotion Pte. Ltd. is a Singapore law practice providing commercial counsel — not a fitness centre, animation production house, design agency or any other non-legal business. Our name refers to legal motions: the structured progression of counsel work through filing, review, advancement and hearing stages on a matter docket. We do not offer personal training, animation services, brand campaigns or creative production. If you reached this site while searching for unrelated services, we apologise for any confusion caused by the shared word "motion" in our branding. Does LegalMotion guarantee a win in my case or matter?
No law firm can guarantee the outcome of a legal matter, and LegalMotion does not make outcome guarantees of any kind. Litigation, negotiation and regulatory processes depend on facts, evidence, applicable law and decisions by courts, tribunals or counterparties that counsel cannot control. What we commit to is thorough preparation, honest assessment of strengths and weaknesses, clear communication about your options and disciplined work on the docket. Our representative matter summaries describe past work for general context only and do not predict results in future engagements.
What does a first consultation involve?
When you submit an enquiry through our contact form, a lawyer reviews your message and responds within two business days. If your matter falls within our practice areas, we arrange an initial consultation — by video, telephone or in person at our Guoco Tower office — to discuss your objectives, timeline and documents. The initial consultation helps us understand scope and allows you to assess whether our counsel approach suits your needs. We explain fee structures before formal engagement and provide a written engagement letter when you instruct us to proceed.
How are fees structured?
LegalMotion offers fixed-fee arrangements for defined deliverables such as contract reviews, policy drafting and standard corporate documents. For ongoing counsel or complex matters, we work on hourly rates with budget estimates and progress reporting. Disbursements — filing fees, search fees, courier charges — are billed separately with supporting receipts. We discuss fees transparently during intake and confirm terms in our engagement letter before work begins. We do not charge for initial enquiry responses or preliminary scope assessments.
Which practice areas do you cover?
We advise on corporate and commercial counsel, contract drafting and review, dispute resolution and litigation support, employment and workplace matters, regulatory and compliance guidance, and Singapore cross-border business support. We focus on Singapore law and do not provide advice on foreign law directly, though we coordinate with overseas counsel when your matter requires it. Matters outside our practice areas are referred to trusted specialists where appropriate.
Do you handle criminal law or family law matters?
LegalMotion's practice is limited to commercial and regulatory counsel. We do not handle criminal defence, family law proceedings, personal injury claims or wills and probate as primary matters. If you contact us about these areas, we will endeavour to refer you to a suitable practitioner rather than accept an engagement we cannot serve well.
How do you handle personal data under the PDPA?
We collect personal data you provide through our contact form, email and telephone communications solely to respond to enquiries and deliver legal services. Our privacy policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, how long we retain it and your rights under the Personal Data Protection Act 2012. Contact form submissions require explicit PDPA consent before submission. We do not sell personal data to third parties.
Can I visit your office in person?
Yes. Our office is at 1 Wallich Street, #14-01 Guoco Tower, Singapore 078881. We recommend scheduling appointments in advance so a lawyer is available to meet you. Office hours are Monday to Friday, 09:00–18:00 Singapore Time, excluding public holidays. Guoco Tower is accessible via Tanjong Pagar MRT station.
What is the "motion chamber" and docket approach?
The motion chamber is our term for how we organise counsel work. Every matter receives a docket reference and progresses through defined stages: intake and filing, review and analysis, motion and delivery, and hearing or follow-through where applicable. You receive written updates at key milestones and a closing summary when the matter concludes. This structure ensures transparency — you always know what has been done, what is in progress and what comes next.
